Features: This book reminds you that shrimp and foods rich in vitamin C can cause poisoning when eaten together; spinach and tofu consumed long-term can make you prone to calcium deficiency; dog meat and garlic consumed together are not a scientifically sound traditional eating habit. With the development of society and the gradual enrichment of material life, people's pursuit of health has become increasingly intense. Today, after solving the problem of food security, people have shifted their dietary concepts, starting to pay attention to nutrition and the variety of food combinations. However, during the process of food pairing, improper combinations often occur, making the nutritional intake counterproductive. Not only is nutrition not obtained, but it may also lead to adverse consequences, physical discomfort, or even poisoning incidents. A significant reason for this is the incompatibility between different foods. Throughout history, people have placed great importance on a balanced diet, accumulating a vast amount of information on food incompatibilities, either recorded in ancient texts or passed down through folklore. However, the records in ancient texts, due to their age, are often brief and lack clarity, leaving one to know the "what" but not the "why"; while folklore traditions may spread misinformation, often without basis in fact. In recent years, although many dietary books have been published, specialized works on food incompatibilities remain rare. Following the principles of convenience, practicality, and effectiveness, we have collected knowledge from various sources, blending ancient and modern insights, filtering out falsehoods to preserve the truth, and compiled the book "Food Incompatibilities." The book is divided into six parts, introducing over 200 incompatibility phenomena among six major categories of common foods: meat and eggs, aquatic products, vegetables, fruits, seasonings, and beverages. Adhering to the principle that content determines form and form serves content, the book maintains a rigorous structure, consistent style, and clear, logical explanations. Food can nourish the body, but it can also harm it. The main purpose and aspiration of this book is to remind people to pay attention to food incompatibilities in their daily diet, to scientifically combine foods, to avoid harm and seek benefits, thereby improving their nutritional and health levels.
