Features: The new curriculum reform is a significant event affecting education in the new century, gradually entering the classrooms of primary and secondary schools and reshaping the concepts and behaviors of teachers. In the implementation of the new curriculum, teachers often view it merely as a change in teaching content and textbook adjustments, believing that their mission is fulfilled simply by teaching students new knowledge structures. Teachers sometimes see the implementation of the new curriculum as merely a reevaluation of teaching methods in the classroom, thinking that the curriculum is limited to teaching and that as long as teaching meets the requirements of the new curriculum, it is sufficient. Teachers often consider the active participation of students in the classroom as a typical manifestation of the implementation of the new curriculum, believing that as long as students are engaged and lively in class, the requirements of the new curriculum are fulfilled. All these reflect a skewed understanding of curriculum reform, resulting in classrooms that fail to truly come alive, students' life values not being truly realized, their life worlds not being truly attended to, their living conditions not being truly improved, and their modes of existence not being truly transformed.
