Features:
1. Rich Content. The book has incorporated many new concepts, systems, devices, and systems-related terms, abbreviations, and difficult words. The selected vocabulary has been further refined in terms of concepts and technology. We first used the terminology standards published by the "Name Committee" for mathematics, electronics, electrical engineering, physics, and other related fields to standardize the relevant terms in this book. This undoubtedly enriches and improves the content of the book. Especially for the "Second Edition," we actively promoted it, which further enhanced the book.
2. Compact Structure. We have minimized the inclusion of obvious terms like "1+1=2" or "1+1+1=3," which readers can easily understand. However, for cases where "1+1≠2" or "1+1+1≠3," we have included them as comprehensively as possible. Regarding the derived words or compound words in the "Second Edition," we have included all of them to help readers learn more computer-related terminology. Overall, the book has a compact structure, free of redundancy, and remains lightweight and user-friendly. Although the number of entries may seem small, the book has high value, especially in abbreviations, where one English abbreviation often corresponds to multiple different Chinese translations. Therefore, the actual vocabulary is substantial, covering the fundamental terms of this field and related disciplines, and basically reflecting the meaning of the book's title "Encyclopedia."
3. Accurate Naming. As mentioned above, after several rounds of standardization and referencing numerous reference books, the naming has been made more accurate.
4. Human-Computer Collaboration to Minimize Errors. After spell-checking, the text has been repeatedly reviewed and carefully checked by humans to achieve the high-quality standard required for reference books.
The contributors to this book include: Wang Nengqin, Sun Zheng, Lin Jiuxuan, Yuan Yuanyan, Ren Jicheng, Liu Defu, Fan Runlin, Liu Pixin, Jia Tian, Liu Dongming, Zhu Xianyou, Yang Fang, Zhu Yaqi, Gu Shuyun, Zhou Huadong, Liu Fei, Liu Chun, Meng Shuying, Wu Haewen, Cui Ying, and Yuan Hua.
The book contains many new and difficult terms and adheres to the terminology standards published by the "Name Committee," making it highly practical and suitable for various audiences, especially for college and high school students as a professional reference tool. Due to the limited level and knowledge of the compilers, despite repeated efforts, errors may still exist. We sincerely hope that experts and readers will point them out for correction.
