Features: The two rural surveys included in this book reflect the history and current state of the Russian ethnic group from different perspectives and angles—Northeast and Northwest regions, Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia with distinct ethnic environments, and locations near urban areas versus remote rural areas. Additionally, we employed a typical survey method, collecting 7 family records of the Russian ethnic group from both locations (5 families in Tacheng and 2 in Sibei), through field records, interviews, or side notes, to provide an overall view of the Russian ethnic group from an individual perspective. Furthermore, the book also includes two investigative reports (one from Xinjiang and one from Inner Mongolia).
