Features: The past century was an extraordinary one. The Central Committee proposed making the "" issue the top priority of the entire Party's work and made a series of major strategic arrangements to promote coordinated urban-rural socio-economic development. Local governments and departments intensified their efforts, overcoming the severe impact of the sudden "SARS" pandemic and the adverse effects of frequent natural disasters. The situation in agriculture and rural areas developed positively: agricultural structures were steadily adjusted, rural economies grew steadily, rural reforms progressed steadily, rural incomes increased steadily, and rural society remained stable. In response to the new situation, the Industry Policy and Regulations Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, in line with the arrangements of the Central Rural Work Conference and the National Agricultural Conference, conducted in-depth research and investigations on key issues such as increasing farmers' incomes, optimizing the regional layout of agricultural products, improving the quality and safety of agricultural products, building modern agriculture, protecting comprehensive grain production capacity, deepening rural reforms, accelerating the transfer of rural labor, and promoting coordinated urban-rural socio-economic development. A number of research findings have been compiled. The research reports are now compiled into this volume for reference.
