The report summarized the work of 2004 and studied the tasks for 2005, requiring the serious implementation of the strategic approach to combating corruption, the prompt establishment of a sound system for punishing and preventing corruption, the maintenance of strong momentum in curbing corruption, and the intensification of prevention efforts to promote the in-depth development of the campaign for improving Party conduct and combating corruption. To help everyone better study and understand the spirit of the report, members of the drafting group of the report of the fifth plenary session of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection wrote relevant supplementary articles. The important documents from the fifth plenary session of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and related supplementary materials have now been compiled into this book for reference by universities in their study and work.
