The Complete Story of Boy Jiali

Author: Qin Wenjun
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2000-04-01
Features: After its publication, the book was hailed as "a rare novel deeply favored by primary and secondary school students in recent years" and "the soul of children in the new era." It ranked among the top choices in various major awards, was adapted into a feature film and a TV series with the same title, and has been reprinted multiple times with a print run of nearly 200,000 copies. It has also been published in traditional Chinese, Japanese, and English versions. Boys Jiali adopts a comedic tone, but some chapters leave readers teary-eyed. I am confident that the author poured her true life into these moments. For example, "The Election Fiasco" and "The Birthday Party" are rich and complex in meaning, leaving a lasting impression. "The Three Knights" and "The Age of Adventure" make readers laugh until they choke, yet they subtly contain the bitterness of life and the unique awkwardness of youth.
