Features: This standard was revised according to the requirements of the original State Economic and Trade Commission's Power [2000] No. 70 Notice on Issuing the 2000 Annual Power Industry Standard Development and Revision Plan, and it is based on the revision of DL5001-1991 "Technical Specification for Engineering Surveying in Thermal Power Plants." Compared to DL/T5001—1991, this standard has the following main changes: 1) Deleted the obsolete provisions of the original specification regarding the measurement of microwave communication stations; 2) Deleted the obsolete provisions of the original specification regarding triangulation and trilateration; 3) Added the Global Positioning System (GPS); 4) Added the Geographic Information System (GIS); 5) Added technical provisions for computer-aided mapping, construction surveying, and other technologies. After the implementation of this standard, it will replace DL5001-1991. This standard was proposed by the China Electric Power Enterprise Association. This standard is under the jurisdiction and interpretation of the Power Industry Power Planning and Design Standardization Technical Committee. The main drafting unit of this standard is the Northeast Electric Power Design Institute. The participating drafting units of this standard are the East China Electric Power Design Institute, Southwest Electric Power Design Institute, Central South Electric Power Design Institute, and State Power North China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd.
