Features: Most middle school students start learning English by studying textbooks, but few truly master and learn them well. Everyone focuses their main efforts on memorizing new words, analyzing key and difficult points, and doing a large amount of exercises and test questions, while neglecting to learn the English language itself through reading texts. This is a case of missing the forest for the trees, and as a result, their practical English application skills do not meet the requirements, with poor listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. This is a common misconception in English learning. English textbooks are systematically and comprehensively written, making them the best material for middle school students to learn English. Experience has proven that reading texts solidly, diligently, and repeatedly is an effective method for learning English. However, it is essential to truly understand the pronunciation, word meaning, and sentence meaning of every word and sentence in the text, firmly grasp them, accurately understand the entire text, and on this basis, read it repeatedly until it becomes second nature, forming a sense of language. In this way, English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills will naturally improve, and difficult problems encountered in exams will also be easily solved. Moreover, memorizing words and understanding grammar in the overall linguistic context of the text is much more effective than learning them in isolation from the context. Therefore, middle school students urgently need a book that provides detailed and comprehensive annotations, translations, and explanations for English textbooks. In response to this situation, we have organized experienced teachers to follow the requirements of the new curriculum standards, closely focusing on the People's Education Press English textbook for compulsory education curriculum experiment, and providing direct annotations, translations, and explanations for most words in the text, their phonetic symbols and word meanings, translations for each sentence, and phrases for some sentences. Reference answers to exercises in the textbook are also included. With this book, students can overcome learning obstacles, save the trouble of looking up dictionaries and grammar books, save time and effort, and find it convenient and useful. This makes the process of reading texts enjoyable and effortless, encouraging students to read them repeatedly and diligently. Over time, they will master the textbooks, build a solid foundation, and improve their English skills. The effect is particularly significant for middle school students in the foundational stage.
