Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads (abbreviated as Subject Olympiads) are one of China's most extensive, widely participated, and influential subject competition activities for primary and secondary school students. Subject Olympiads are derived from the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), International Physics Olympiad (IPHO), International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO), and other internationally influential middle school subject competitions that attract millions of young students every year. The reason for such attention lies in the strong innovation, flexibility, and comprehensiveness of Olympiads, as well as their focus on cultivating students' exploration skills and inspiring their innovative awareness—core elements of quality education, which are also essential for future development.
Based on years of in-depth research on this activity and a vast number of outstanding books in this field, the Editorial Department of Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads has invited outstanding educators from across the country dedicated to this field to compile and publish a series of books on mathematics, Chinese, English, physics, chemistry, biology, and information technology, totaling over 200 varieties. In terms of variety, quantity, and quality, our Olympiad books are among the most influential in the domestic and international market and hold the greatest appeal in the hearts of primary and secondary school teachers and students.
The purpose and characteristics of the "Golden Medal Olympiad" and "Golden Medal School" series are as follows:
