Features: This book is Volume 17 of Quanyuanwen. Quanyuanwen basically collects articles written in Chinese during the Yuan Dynasty, including poems, ci, classical texts, ballads, proverbs, and all other prose, parallel prose, and fu, except for novels. The time frame for the collected writers follows this principle: the period before the Yuan Dynasty is extended to the Jin Dynasty and the Southern Song Dynasty. Writers from the former Jin territory are limited to those active up to the second year of the Tianxing era of Jin Aizong (1234), while writers from the former Southern Song territory are limited to those active up to the second year of the Xiangxing era of Southern Song Zhao Bing (1297). The period after the Yuan Dynasty is capped at the twenty-eighth year of the Zhizhi era of Yuan Shundi (1368).
