Features: The "Series of Enlarged Ancient Inscriptions and Calligraphy Manuscripts" takes commonly used calligraphy classics for beginners as the blueprint, selecting typical characters and categorizing them by stroke, radical, structure, or fixed and variant forms. It is supplemented with techniques such as enlarged character examples and flipped stone tablets, making it a preferred choice for calligraphy enthusiasts and teachers as a practice manual or teaching reference. This volume is compiled based on the famous Han Dynasty stele "Shichen Stele." The "Shichen Stele" exhibits an ancient, vigorous, and dignified style, with a clear and strict calligraphy. Qing Dynasty scholar Fang Yizhong praised it as follows: "In calligraphy, it is solemn, profound, and ancient yet vigorous. Its structure and artistic conception are complete, truly a masterpiece of the hall, and the authentic classic of eight-character calligraphy." Additionally, due to its numerous preserved characters, it has long been regarded as an introductory model for clerical script. When practicing this stele, one must first grasp its overall ancient and vigorous characteristics, which are primarily reflected in the use of round strokes, subtle and reserved expressions, frequent pauses and turns in writing, and dynamic fluctuations in brushwork. Moreover, the stele is both ancient and refined, dignified yet not clumsy. When practicing it, one must avoid stiffness and sluggishness, seeking variation within rules and strength within harmony, to truly capture its brushwork essence.
