Features: Origami is an ancient traditional art that has likely existed since the invention of paper. It has long been popular among the masses in China and is widely practiced abroad. As a cultural phenomenon, origami has shone with the brilliance of human thought since its inception. It primarily utilizes the different textures and properties of paper, employing techniques such as folding, layering, rolling, turning, and inserting, supplemented by cutting, joining, embedding, piecing, and painting, to create lifelike spatial images of various objects. It is characterized by its wide range of material sources (almost any paper can be used), simple and easy-to-learn folding methods, vivid and lifelike imagery, and aesthetically pleasing designs. For thousands of years, origami has thrived in folk culture, beloved by people of all ethnic groups. Many individuals have dedicated themselves to the art of origami, and numerous regional origami competitions have been held. In Japan, a dedicated origami research society has even been established. In daily life, origami serves to cultivate interest, provide leisure and entertainment, and enhance family atmosphere. Origami is also imbued with a sense of innocence and delicacy, making it particularly suitable for the playful psychology of children and adolescents. This offers a unique way to develop children's intelligence, stimulate their imagination, and cultivate their spatial thinking and hands-on skills from an early age, making it one of the ideal supplementary tools for early childhood education. With the advancement of modern science and technology and the continuous innovation of papermaking techniques, the variety, texture, and color of paper have become increasingly diverse and refined, opening up new horizons for the art of origami. This allows for the creation of many new, more complex, and artistically rich paper-based artworks. This book is divided into three parts: the first part introduces object origami, the second part covers 3D origami, and the third part explores napkin origami. Each origami design is accompanied by clear step-by-step illustrations, making it easy to learn and reference for readers. The original title of this book is "Complete Origami." Since its publication in June 1990, it has been warmly welcomed by readers. Subsequently, a series of books such as "Fun Paper Cutting," "Fun Paper Piecing," and "Fun Paper Cutting" were also published, forming a set of "Paper Fun" series. This makes it even easier for readers to systematically master paper art techniques and derive greater enjoyment from them.
