Features: Enhancing students' comprehensive qualities, developing their individual strengths, cannot be achieved through last-minute cramming or divorced from reality. The development of students' intelligence and the improvement of their abilities is a gradual, long-term training process that spirals upwards. To support the development of extracurricular mathematics activities in primary schools and provide students with systematic training in mathematical olympiad content, we have organized experienced teachers to write this series of books. Through the unique "one example, three exercises" format, it helps students systematically master the entire content of mathematical olympiads, broaden their knowledge horizons, master problem-solving methods and skills, and improve their test-taking and competition abilities. This series of books strives to embody the following characteristics:
Comprehensive and Spiral Progression. The series covers the entire content of primary school mathematical olympiads, breaking it down by grade level, with 120 topics set for each grade, each topic serving as a training session. At the same time, it pays attention to the connection between grades, reflecting layers and gradients.
Rooted in Basics, Focused on Improvement. Following the teaching content order of general textbooks (such as PEP and Jiangsu Education Press), the topics are designed based on students' actual knowledge structure and cognitive development levels, enabling them to expand their training after mastering basic textbook knowledge.
One Example, Three Exercises—Learn by Analogy. For each topic, "model problems" are selected from a vast pool of questions. "Approach" provides analysis and guidance; "Detailed Solutions" offers thorough or alternative solutions; and "Tips" summarizes and deepens the knowledge, methods, and techniques related to the example. Accompanying the model problems are three practice exercises, designed to help students independently complete tasks and develop the ability to generalize from examples.
Keeping Pace with the Times. The content of model problems and exercises incorporates recent question types from various regional mathematical competitions, reflecting timeliness, interest, openness, exploration, and practicality. It also emphasizes close ties to real-life scenarios, guiding students to learn and apply mathematics in daily life.
During the writing process, we referred to the essence of similar books and express sincere gratitude. Due to time constraints and the limitations of the authors, errors and shortcomings are inevitable. We welcome criticism and suggestions.
