Features: Enhancing students' comprehensive qualities, fostering their individual strengths, cannot be achieved through last-minute cramming or divorced from reality. The development of students' intelligence and the improvement of their abilities is a gradual, long-term training process that spirals upwards. To support the development of extracurricular mathematics activities in primary schools and provide students with systematic training in mathematical Olympiad content, we have organized experienced teachers to write this series of books. Through the unique "one example, three exercises" format, it helps students systematically master the entire content of the Mathematical Olympiad, broadens their knowledge, grasps problem-solving methods and skills, and improves their exam and competition abilities. The series strives to embody the following features:
Comprehensive content, spiraling progression. The series divides the entire content of primary school Mathematical Olympiad mathematics into grades, with 120 topics set for each grade, each topic serving as a training session. It also pays attention to the connection between grades, reflecting layers and gradients.
Rooted in fundamentals, focused on improvement. Following the arrangement of teaching content in common textbooks (such as PEP and Jiangsu Education Press), the topics are designed based on students' actual knowledge structure and cognitive development levels, enabling self-study and extension training after mastering basic textbook knowledge.
One example, three exercises, learn by analogy. Each topic selects "typical examples" from a vast pool of problems, providing analysis and guidance in the "Approach"; the "Detailed Solution" offers thorough or alternative solutions; and the "Tricks" summarizes and deepens the relevant knowledge, methods, and techniques of the example. Three practice questions are set under "Good Problems for Practice," aligned with the knowledge points of the example, for students to complete independently, cultivating their ability to learn by analogy.
Up-to-date, keeping pace with the times. The content of examples and exercises incorporates types of problems that have appeared in recent years' mathematical competitions across various regions, reflecting timeliness, interest, openness, exploratory nature, and practicality. It also emphasizes close ties to real-life scenarios, guiding students to learn and apply mathematics in daily life.
During the writing process, we referred to the essence of similar books and express sincere gratitude. Due to time constraints and the limitations of the authors, errors and shortcomings are inevitable. We welcome criticism and suggestions.
