On this basis, we are committed to promoting the spirit of scientific exploration and the traditional culture, striving to achieve the integration of science and art, and the fusion of publishing and culture, in order to contribute our efforts to the inheritance of traditional Chinese art. For this purpose, we are honored to invite the renowned art expert, Mr. Shi Shuqing, to organize the writing of this series of "Investment and Appraisal of Chinese Artworks," with strong support from Yachang Enterprise Limited. The greatest feature of this series is that the experts combine their years of experience to analyze the key points of collecting and appreciating various types of artworks, making every word a treasure. Nearly 300 artworks in each book are carefully selected and thoroughly analyzed by the experts, making them highly representative and informative. Through reading and appreciation, readers can not only gain comprehensive knowledge of artworks but also master the essentials of appraising them. This series is highly suitable for art collectors and enthusiasts from all walks of life. To save space, this series uses abbreviations for auction companies, such as "China" referring to "China International Auction Company," etc. The units of currency mentioned in the book are "ten thousand yuan," and the units of dimensions are "centimeters," and so on, without listing them all. Please note. This book is one of the "Investment and Appraisal of Chinese Artworks" series. It focuses on ancient books circulating in the art auction market in recent years, providing a comprehensive account of their trading status and price changes, and selects 200 representative ancient book editions for detailed introduction. The book contains 120,000 words and is accompanied by over 250 color illustrations of book images. It is divided into four parts: Overview, Common Knowledge of Ancient Book Appraisal, Reference Books for Ancient Book Appraisal, and Appreciation of Ancient Fine Books. The Overview mainly reviews the history of ancient book auctions over the past decade. The Common Knowledge of Ancient Book Appraisal introduces the concept of ancient books, version names, and key appraisal points. The Reference Books for Ancient Book Appraisal selectively introduces some works on textual criticism, bibliographic catalogs, and illustrated catalogs of book images. The Appreciation of Ancient Fine Books is divided into six sections: Song Dynasty Printed Books, Yuan Dynasty Printed Books, Ming Dynasty Printed Books, Qing Dynasty Printed Books, Movable Type Printed Books, and Manuscript Drafts. It provides a comprehensive yet concise introduction to 200 ancient fine books circulating in ancient book auctions. Special attention is given to those with unique collection value or those that set records in ancient book auctions, with detailed descriptions of their content, authors, printing origins, ownership history, number of auctions, and final prices.
