Features: Court history, which is different from the history of the entire feudal society and only a part of it. Its main task is to reveal the role of the court in the feudal society and the laws of its rise and fall by studying the activities of relevant figures in the court, including power struggles within the court, major events, political and economic measures, institutional regulations, material and cultural life, and customs. The format of this book is based on the general history of the Qing court, with topics related to institutional regulations and other special content interspersed in various chapters. Although the book spans two periods of ancient and modern Chinese history, and there are some transformations within the court, its basic institutions have not changed. Therefore, it is not divided into ancient and modern periods but still uses the succession of emperors and reigns to divide chapters. To clarify some unfounded rumors about the Qing court history, we pay more attention to explaining historical facts in the book, avoiding empty discussions, and cite some original texts of historical materials to enhance the readers' sense of certainty. In the narration, to save space, we do not list numerous absurd stories one by one but correct them through positive arguments.
