Features: This book is compiled according to the specific requirements of the new teaching syllabus and its content aligns with the teaching syllabus of "Fundamentals of Circuit Analysis" for non-electrical engineering majors. The book consists of five chapters. Chapter 1: Basic Concepts and Basic Laws of Circuit Analysis introduces key topics such as circuits and circuit diagrams, independent sources, Kirchhoff's laws, resistive connections, and source equivalence transformations. Chapter 2: Analysis of Linear Resistive Circuits explains two problem-solving methods—mesh current and node voltage analysis—and introduces fundamental circuit theorems such as the superposition theorem and the equivalent source theorem. Chapter 3: Sinusoidal AC Circuits focuses on the three characteristics of sinusoidal AC, the phasor representation of sinusoidal quantities, complex impedance, complex admittance, and their equivalent transformations, as well as the power of sinusoidal AC, calculations for sinusoidal steady-state circuits, and methods to improve power factor. Chapter 4: Resonance and Mutual Inductance covers series and parallel resonance, mutual inductance, calculation methods for circuits containing mutual inductance, as well as air-core transformers and ideal transformers. Chapter 5: Three-Phase Circuits primarily introduces the characteristics of three-phase circuits, calculations for three-phase circuits, and their power. This textbook is suitable for circuit courses in various non-electrical engineering disciplines at higher vocational and technical colleges, as well as for reference by electrical engineering technicians and enthusiasts.
