An ugly frog helps her, on the condition that they become good friends. Suddenly, a beautiful girl in a gray dress comes to her side. She says she is going to attend the prince's ball. She goes to her mother's grave to wait for the beautiful dress sent by the birds. At this moment, a sinister voice comes, "Mirror, mirror, tell me, who is the most beautiful woman in the land?" A beautiful girl with flawless skin appears in the forest, looking hesitant and helpless. "What is fear? What is fear?" The foolish boy is murmuring to himself. He has traveled to the ends of the earth, but where exactly is fear? Until a bucket of cold water mixed with pike fish falls from the sky. Who is sitting in the corner of the market selling pottery, her beauty cannot be hidden even under coarse cloth? Could this be the proud princess who once looked down upon everyone?
The authors of Grimms' Fairy Tales, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, were German folklorists. Both came from official families and studied law at the University of Marburg. They worked together at the Kassel Library and served as professors at the University of G?ttingen. In 1841, both became members of the Grimm Academy of Sciences. The brothers began collecting German folk tales in 1808. The newly released Illustrated Classics of World Literature for Children is a series of books meticulously drawn and compiled based on the original works, specifically dedicated to young readers. Its illustrated format and standard phonetic annotations that comply with primary school teaching standards fully meet the reading needs of elementary school students.
