Features: Every city is composed of houses and streets, but Qingdao is enriched with lush mountains and clear blue seas. The waves sigh with the passage of time, the rocks shape character, the sun caresses the roads, and the lights illuminate the moods of life. All of this forms the three-dimensional charm of Qingdao. The television series "The Roads of Qingdao," produced and directed by the Program Center of Qingdao Television Station, is a humanistic series that takes Qingdao's urban roads as its, fully showcasing the city's history, emotions, and memories. The work presents a unique geographical perspective, beautiful visuals, and refined, insightful text, capturing the typical characteristics of regional culture and delving into the spiritual history of the city's people and the history of its growth. It does not pursue grand or scene-based moralizing; instead, it incorporates the buildings, historical landmarks, and the living conditions of people along the roads into vivid details and storytelling. In essence, it is a television series that realistically portrays "Qingdao of details, geography, and culture." It also breaks away from the flaws of being "all-encompassing" and shifts its focus from the "sky" to the "ground," highlighting the inner essence of the city. For this reason, CCTV gave it high praise. According to the director and scriptwriter of the series, Yu Rongjian, Yang Zhongsheng, and Yan Nengde, the series was created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Qingdao being recognized as a Chinese historical and cultural city. It was a special program for Qingdao Television Station. After its broadcast on the station, it received unanimous praise from leaders, experts, and the general audience. From May 16 to 21, 2005, it was broadcast on CCTV's International Channel (CCTV4) under the title "A Century of Qingdao Roads." For six consecutive days in a week, this local station's independently produced series was aired on CCTV, a rare occurrence. It will serve as an excellent medium to shape the global image of Qingdao as a world-renowned city.
