Features: The book "Land Use/Land Cover Change Research in China" was co-authored by Dr. Tang Huajun, Dr. Chen Youqi, Dr. Qiu Jianjun, and Dr. Chen Zhongxin from the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It was officially published and released by the China Agricultural Science and Technology Press in December 2004. Land use/land cover change is an interdisciplinary research topic that covers a wide range of content and is closely related to temporal and spatial scales. The book consists of ten chapters, primarily focusing on the research methods, models, and applications of land use/land cover change. Through three major models—the climate model at large-scale or macro-scale, the CLUE model at medium-scale or regional scale, and the biogeochemical model at small-scale or micro-scale—the book introduces research methods for land use/land cover change at different scales. Case studies from specific research regions are selected for each model, enabling readers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles, methods, and applications of the models. Additionally, the book conducts systematic research and summarizes relevant topics such as the relationship between land use/land cover change and global climate change and human sustainable development, the driving mechanisms of land use/land cover change, the application of "3S" technologies in land use/land cover change research, and the evaluation and rational regulation of land use/land cover change in China in the future.
