Features: It is self-evident that to sing a song well, one should fully understand the lyrics. This book collects the original lyrics of 250 Western opera arias (supplementing the word-for-word translation issued by the Teaching Materials Department of the Central Conservatory of Music in 1985) and translates them into Chinese. For professional and amateur singers who wish to perform Western opera arias but are not highly proficient in Italian, German, or French, this book provides convenience in mastering and understanding the lyrics. Due to the significant differences between Chinese and foreign grammars, knowing the meaning of each word often does not fully convey the meaning of the entire sentence. Therefore, the translation is explained in two lines: The first line indicates the meaning of each foreign word, and the sentence in parentheses on the second line represents the content of the entire lyric. This helps singers understand both the meaning of individual words and the overall lyric while performing. Square brackets [-] are used to indicate articles, pronouns, conjunctions, and other emphasis words commonly used in foreign languages but often omitted in Chinese. The arrangement method of the table of contents is as follows: First item: The first letter of the composer's last name. Second item: The first letter of the opera title (excluding initial articles). Third item: The first letter of the aria title.
