Features: The hardworking and wise Chinese people have created a splendid and brilliant Chinese culture, one of the oldest cultures in the world. It is the spiritual bond that unites all the people of China and the overseas Chinese around the world, with a stronger cohesion than blood ties. To better learn, inherit, and carry forward this valuable cultural heritage, we have invited over thirty experts and scholars, over a period of three years, to select two hundred classic works of profound meaning and long-standing popularity from the vast ancient literature. After careful organization, proofreading, annotation, and analysis, we have compiled this series, "The Time-Honored Classics of Chinese Culture," which will be published in twenty volumes. This series has the following features:
1. The ancient text of each book is written in calligraphy by the modern calligraphy master Pang Zhonghua with a hard pen, allowing readers to appreciate the exquisite calligraphy of Pang Zhonghua while experiencing the depth and breadth of traditional Chinese culture. While reading and reflecting on the ancient classics, readers can also learn to appreciate the calligraphy art of contemporary masters. For book collectors, these are also valuable treasures with great collectible value.
2. The works collected in this series are mainly long-standing masterpieces and famous works. Following the learning characteristics of readers, especially young people, annotations are provided for the classical texts, along with colloquial translations or necessary explanations to make the content more accessible. This helps young readers better understand the original classics and truly achieve the benefit of reading.
3. During the selection process of this series, the principle of historical authenticity is followed. For doubtful points, we repeatedly examined relevant knowledge and gained a deeper understanding of traditional culture, thereby acquiring more accurate historical materials. Proofreading ancient texts is a very tedious and complex task, often requiring the unremitting efforts and improvements of several people. To make this book more complete and authoritative, we consulted a large amount of relevant materials during the selection process.
