Features: Selected according to the new curriculum standards for primary and secondary schools, this is the authoritative extracurricular reading material for primary and secondary school students. It is the best-selling juvenile edition of classic works in the Chinese-speaking world. The selected books in World Young Readers' Literature Selections are both classic and the lives and psychology of teenagers. Although these are adapted versions of classic works, the adapters include several renowned children's literature masters from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. As a result, the adapted content is concise, the language is fluent, and the overall style retains the original essence. It is particularly worth mentioning that the new edition of World Young Readers' Literature Selections has added a "Paper Internet" section, which introduces the historical background, customs, author information, adaptations, and anecdotes of the works in a visually rich and engaging way, making it a miniature encyclopedia for interpreting classic works. This provides young readers with better understanding of the stories, comprehension of the works' meanings, and broadened reading horizons.
The insects are queuing to walk towards you—there are diligent bees, majestic mantises, and singing crickets. They are all like your close friends, telling you the extraordinary stories of their ordinary lives. After reading the stories in this book, you might, like the author Fabre, become passionately fascinated with these little creatures. Perhaps when you grow up, you will become an explorer of the insect world!
