Author: Hu Yixiao
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2001-05-01
Features: This book has been comprehensively revised and supplemented by the author. The revised format is highly distinctive. The poems in the book are divided into five collections. The first collection includes 70 poems, sourced from authoritative editions compiled and published by state-level departments, making them entirely reliable and highly authoritative. The second collection contains 24 poems, mostly verified through repeated checks and comparisons, proving to be largely authentic. The third collection features 20 poems, with some from authoritative versions that are completely reliable, while others remain subject to controversy regarding their authenticity. The fourth collection comprises 19 poems, which are collaborations between Mao Zedong and others. The fifth collection includes 8 poems, widely regarded as the "Mao Zedong Poems." Appendix (I) includes 80 "two-line poems." Appendix (I) also contains 12 letters from Mao Zedong about poetry. Even considering only the genuinely reliable and comparably reliable poems, there are as many as 115, making this the book with the largest collection of Mao Zedong's poems to date. Its "two-line poems" can also be said to be the most extensive collection of this type.
