The materials are detailed and hold significant historical value. The Manchu are an indigenous ethnic minority in Fujian Province. The history of the Manchu in Fujian can be traced back to the late Yuan Dynasty. One branch of the Jurchen nobility migrated from the north to Quanzhou and, through development and proliferation, became a part of the modern Manchu population in Fujian. In the third year of the Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1646), Qing troops advanced into Fujian, overthrowing the Longwu regime established by the Southern Ming. In the 19th year of the Kangxi reign (1680), the Qing Dynasty established permanent Eight Banner garrisons in Fuzhou, forming Manchu residential areas centered around the banner camps. The unique historical culture and special political background of the banner people made them a relatively independent social group in Fuzhou, whose descendants constitute another part of the Manchu population in Fujian.
