Features: This book is specifically designed for students taking Korean elective courses, serving as a textbook for public Korean language courses in colleges and universities, as well as for short-term Korean beginner training programs. The book consists of 16 scenarios and 16 lessons. Based on the actual needs of beginners starting from zero, the introductory section provides a comprehensive overview of Korean language characteristics, including letters, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar, which are reflected in the lessons. The book features a simple and easy-to-understand structure, highlights basic grammar, and offers practical content. Each lesson is divided into 8 sections: Highlights, Dialogue 1, Dialogue 2, New Words, Pronunciation, Grammar Explanation, Exercises, Supplementary Vocabulary, and Korean Culture Cards.
Highlights are the most basic and common sentences in each lesson's scenario dialogue, designed to emphasize key sentences and grammar, helping beginners master scenario-related phrases and improve practical speaking skills. Each scenario dialogue includes Dialogue 1 and Dialogue 2, focusing on simple topics with natural and vivid content to express accurate and appropriate Korean, enabling learners to acquire authentic Korean. The New Words section lists only the new vocabulary appearing in the lesson, with definitions limited to the meanings presented in the text, facilitating comprehension of the lesson content. The Pronunciation section notes all phonetic changes in each dialogue according to Korean pronunciation rules. The Grammar Explanation section clarifies grammatical concepts, conjunctions, and corresponding Chinese meanings, aiding understanding. The Exercises section uses sentence pattern practice to help students construct full sentences, preventing vocabulary-based errors in speaking. The exercises are not limited to the textbook but include rich and practical content. The Supplementary Vocabulary section lists new words from the exercises, helping students expand their vocabulary. The Korean Culture Cards introduce Korean life and culture to foster an understanding of Korean people and society, while also developing students' reading skills.
