Features: The ion channels and ion currents of cardiomyocytes are the main content of cardiomyocyte electrophysiology. Its research progress has been extremely rapid, especially with the integration of molecular biology, which can be described as a leap forward. Today, it is difficult to understand modern cardiac physiology, pharmacology, and the pathogenesis and treatment of certain heart diseases without a grasp of cardiomyocyte electrophysiology, particularly its ion channels and ion currents. Many chapters in cardiac pharmacology would struggle to be considered modern pharmacology without this content. This demonstrates the importance of this field. Currently, in foreign countries, there has been an increasing number of works on cardiomyocyte electrophysiology, while in China, there are very few, and works suitable for clinical doctors are virtually non-existent. In the past, due to teaching needs, I published two volumes for graduate students, but they were not suitable for clinical doctors. In recent years, at the request of clinical colleagues, I have made this attempt, hoping to throw a stone to stir up the water and encourage more works in this field in China.
