Features: This atlas was compiled to introduce and promote world heritage knowledge and the protection of world heritage for the 28th Session of the World Heritage Committee held in Suzhou, China. The atlas consists of three parts: maps, text, and photographs. The basic data of the atlas (map base, text descriptions, and photographs) were provided by the management units of each heritage site, ensuring the authority and reliability of the content. The map section consists of a general map, maps of the provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities where the heritage sites are located, and expanded maps of each heritage site, reflecting the geographical location and environment of the sites from a distance to a closer view. The text descriptions introduce the special value and significance of each heritage site based on the criteria for its inclusion, while also describing its environment and related information in conjunction with the maps. The accompanying photographs provide readers with a more intuitive and sensory understanding of each heritage site.
