Features: The theory of enterprise organization is the author's long-standing research direction, from pursuing a Ph.D. to mentoring Ph.D. students. As a specialized monograph on the theory of enterprise organization, this book is the academic outcome of the author's dedicated research in this field over many years. The entire book is organized around the theory of enterprise organization, summarizing the content into five subsystems: the principles of enterprise organization, the mechanisms of enterprise organization, the management of enterprise organization, the restructuring of enterprise organization, and entrepreneurs, forming five major sections. Each chapter of the book presents unique theoretical insights formed by the author's research. Starting with a scientific examination of the original enterprise organization, it proposes that human enterprise organizations have experienced and are currently undergoing three historical divisions: vertical division, horizontal division, and network division. In addition to the three forms of enterprise alliances typically discussed in textbooks—horizontal alliance, vertical alliance, and conglomerate alliance—there is a unique form of alliance in industries like mechanical assembly: a "circular alliance," where the assembly enterprise is at the center, the component enterprises form the circumference, and the radius is the degree of alliance, with special patterns. The enterprise, as a highly integrated organic entity, exhibits strong systematic characteristics. Following the principles of systems theory, the author scientifically designs the management and leadership system, being one of the earliest to propose the "one leader and three chief engineers" system and promoting it in many large enterprises across the country. The book closely combines theory with practice, making it an invaluable reference for graduate students in economics and management, theoretical researchers, and professional cadres engaged in enterprise management. As early as the 1980s, when pursuing master's and doctoral degrees in business management, my supervisor Jiang Y clearly defined the research directions for each of us. Following my supervisor's advice, I happily chose the research direction of enterprise organization and enterprise systems.
