1. This dictionary is divided into two parts: the first half is a Chinese-English dictionary, and the second half is an English-Chinese dictionary. Both the Chinese-English and English-Chinese sections include over 6,700 entries each, totaling over 13,400 entries, all organized by subject categories from secondary school curricula (excluding language subjects).
2. The selected entries are primarily based on the professional vocabulary covered in current secondary school subject content, with additional commonly used professional terms included.
3. The Chinese-English section is arranged in the order of Pinyin for Chinese terms.
4. Each Chinese term is paired with its corresponding English translation. When a single term has two or more English translations, they are separated by semicolons (;). These English terms are generally listed as separate entries in the English-Chinese section.
5. The English-Chinese section is arranged in alphabetical order of English terms.
6. For the convenience of readers, a separate "Phonetic Index" section is included, which provides the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) for difficult terms.
7. In English, personal names are listed with the surname first, followed by the given name, separated by a comma (,).
8. English words that are single letters (e.g., chemical element names) or words starting with Greek or Roman letters are listed separately at the end of the relevant section.
9. English proper nouns starting with "the" have "the" placed after the term in the dictionary and are separated from the preceding content by a comma (,). For example, "" (the Macao Special Administrative Region) is listed as Macao Special Administrative Region, the in this dictionary.
