The complete works are published in twelve volumes: Volumes one to eleven contain Huang Zongxi's original works, which are generally categorized and compiled into each volume according to the nature of their content; Volume twelve is the appendix volume, compiling biographies, epitaphs, chronicles, biographies, prefaces, commentaries, and name indexes of Huang Zongxi's original works from the first eleven volumes.
