Features: To regulate the work of applying for master's degrees based on equivalent academic standing and ensure the quality of degree conferment, the 16th meeting of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council decided to introduce the National Unified Examination for Comprehensive Academic Level in Disciplines for candidates applying for master's degrees based on equivalent academic standing. Candidates for master's degrees based on equivalent academic standing must obtain the "Certificate of Qualification for the National Unified Examination for Comprehensive Academic Level in the Relevant Discipline" to become a necessary prerequisite for obtaining their master's degree. The Comprehensive Academic Level Examination aims to strengthen the macro-control and standardized management of the conferment of master's degrees to candidates with equivalent academic standing and is a crucial part of the national assessment of the professional knowledge structure and level of candidates applying for master's degrees. In 2003, experts were organized to compile and publish the "Outline and Guide for the National Unified Examination for Comprehensive Academic Level in Public Administration for Candidates Applying for Master's Degrees Based on Equivalent Academic Standing." Over the past two years, based on the suggestions of a large number of candidates and relevant experts, we have carefully revised this book on the basis of summarizing the experience of recent years' unified examinations. The revised new outline (Second Edition) will serve as the basis for unified question-setting for the Comprehensive Academic Level Examination for candidates applying for master's degrees based on equivalent academic standing in the coming years. It can be used as a reference for teaching and tutoring by universities and also as a study and preparation resource for candidates.
