German composer and pianist. His father, J.A.F. Bürgmüller, and his brother, N. Bürgmüller, were also composers and piano teachers. He was skilled in composing short piano pieces and etudes for young learners. This book is his Op. 100, consisting of 25 etudes, all of which are technically and musically engaging. This reissue incorporates the strengths of German, Japanese, and other versions, with minor adjustments and additions to fingerings, aiming to provide users with more expressive possibilities. Students who have completed beginner such as the "Beyer Piano Basic Course" can continue practicing with this book while also playing Czerny's Op. 139 or Op. 599, as well as the "Hanon Piano Finger Exercise." The pieces in this book adopt short forms (see the "Explanation of Musical Structures" at the back of the book), with simple techniques and vivid imagery, making them suitable for beginner piano students to play and study.
