Features: Physical Chemistry Experiment is an important required basic experimental course for undergraduate students at the College of Chemistry, Peking University. This book is the traditional textbook for the Physical Chemistry Experiment course at our college. Since 1981, it has been revised three times. In 1987, it won the second prize of the National Excellent Teaching Material Award from the Ministry of Education. The revised fourth edition covers various branches of physical chemistry, including thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry, colloid chemistry, structural chemistry, and surface chemistry, among others. Compared to the third edition, the "Experiment Section" has added experiments such as oscillating reactions, cyclic voltammetry, and the NH4Cl-NH4NO3-H2O binary aqueous phase diagram, as well as significant revisions and updates to the systems, content, discussion questions, and reference materials of some experiments (e.g., acetone iodination). In the "Instruments and Methods Section," important instruments and typical experimental methods in physical chemistry experiments are introduced to readers in a substantial section, along with content on experimental safety operations, methods for accessing physical chemistry literature, and commonly used data. This book can be used as a textbook for faculty and students in colleges and universities, as well as a reference book for experimental techniques.
