"Translation Theory and Practice Series — Functionalism in Applied Translation," systematically discusses the functional characteristics of different genres of texts and the translation strategy orientation of applied translation based on Western functional translation theory. According to the functions of different texts and translation purposes, requirements, and strategies, it focuses on Chinese-English translation in genres such as current affairs, science and technology, tourism, advertising, and official documents. The theoretical explanations are mutually supportive, not just personal opinions; the discussions on strategies, methods, and techniques are targeted, facilitating practical application.
