This book has selected and annotated 830 poems from military and travel poetry from the pre-Qin period to the late Qing Dynasty, providing a relatively comprehensive reflection of the basic features of ancient military and travel poetry. In accordance with the requirements of the "Military Scholars Commenting on Classical Military Literature Series," the commentary section focuses on uncovering the concepts of war, military governance ideas, and the sentiments of soldiers from the perspective of a soldier and a military standpoint. These commentaries are largely based on the compilers' own understanding and insights. During the writing process, we referred to various annotated, selected, and appreciative editions of military and travel poetry, absorbing their excellent achievements, and we express our sincere gratitude here.
