Features: Children's recitation poems and nursery rhymes are both similar and different. Short, catchy, and fun are undeniable features of nursery rhymes. To suit the learning and singing of young children, nursery rhymes emphasize a certain format in their expression, with specific requirements for rhythm and rhyme. Children's recitation poems, however, are different. They stem from children's real-life experiences, with content that is more substantial and varied in length. Their artistic expression places greater emphasis on poetry, focusing on atmosphere and imagery; their rhythm is free and lively. The poems selected in this book include both timeless works by established poets and innovative creations by emerging writers. It is particularly noteworthy that my colleagues—teachers—as well as young authors have made significant contributions to children's poetry. To help students and teachers make better use of this book, there are introductions and guidance on appreciation and recitation for each of the three sections: "Lower Primary Recitation Poems," "Middle Primary Recitation Poems," and "Higher Primary Recitation Poems." At the end of the book, there is an article titled "Lang Yong's Poetry and Poetry Recitation," which provides further guidance on understanding and performing poetry, serving as a reference for readers.
