Features: This book is one of the Doctoral Works Series published by the School of International Business and Management, University of International Business and Economics. It primarily discusses the division of responsibilities and management in electronic payment. The division of risk responsibilities should clarify the rights and obligations between the two parties. The civil rights and obligations of both parties are not only structurally complementary but also functionally interdependent, and they are also equivalent in quantity. If one party's obligations increase, the other party's rights must expand; if one party's responsibilities decrease, the other party's responsibilities must increase. Achieving a balance in the rights and obligations between the parties is the key focus of this book.
Furthermore, the division of responsibility involves civil liability principles, such as fault liability, strict liability, and fair liability. These principles are closely related to the content of evidence law and the characteristics of burden of proof in the context of e-commerce. In the current information economy era, both in terms of economic strength and information means, they are undoubtedly in a disadvantaged position. At this stage, holding natural person customers strictly liable and corporate customers liable for fault would help build consumer confidence in online payments and resolve the funding flow issues that constrain the development of e-commerce.
