Dust and depression have tormented my forehead hair. Her charm, her sentiments, continue to move countless readers today. This book chooses the perspective of "A Girl Zhang Ailing" to glimpse her beauty and sorrow, her yearnings and disappointments, her brilliance and loneliness, her charm and elegance. Perhaps we can find the source of Zhang Ailing's unique personality and stunning writing, and discover a path to the richness of her inner world. The book is divided into four parts: "A Girl's Complex Zhang Ailing" (Zhang Ailing as seen by many "Zhang fans"), "Youth Mirror Zhang Ailing" (A Biography of Zhang Ailing), "Life Paint Zhang Ailing" (Zhang Ailing's famous quotes paired with images), and "Heart Sutra Contemplation Zhang Ailing" (Zhang Ailing's quotes). It vividly recreates the extraordinary charm of Zhang Ailing, the extraordinary talent of this generation of women from old Shanghai.
