Features: A black comedy novel with genuine meaning. It blends humor and satire with seriousness, mockery and profound reflection, absurdity and mundane reality, comedic spirit and tragic awareness into one. It carries a strong sense of humanistic care, a unique comedic style, and leaves readers laughing through tears. A hunchbacked boy, born with a curved spine, sunken chest, and convex back, appears very comical to others, often becoming the target of ridicule and teasing. However, he possesses an exceptionally sharp mind and intelligence beyond the ordinary, frequently perceiving the essence of things and taking extraordinary actions that awe others. Thus, he views the world around him with a condescending, humorous, and satirical perspective. He struggles unyieldingly and strives tirelessly. He faces repeated failures yet persists in fighting back. His experiences are both unfortunate and sorrowful, yet they prompt us to reflect deeply on the vulgar and ordinary daily lives we are immersed in.
