1. With the vigorous development of legal research and legal education in China, to meet the needs of legal professionals, judges, and faculty and students of law schools, our press has selected and compiled the "Selected Works of Legal Essays" series. This series picks out the essence from tens of thousands of papers, categorizes them, and compiles them into volumes.
2. The selected essays are primarily based on their academic impact as the sole criterion for inclusion. Their content may offer unique insights into legal debates, present innovative perspectives on new legal issues, provide incisive analyses of existing laws, or introduce foreign legislative examples and theories, regardless of the authors' age, region, profession, or status.
3. To minimize the potential negative influence arising from the editors' or interests, the selection process is undertaken by professional editors of China Legal Publishing House, with input from multiple parties and thorough deliberation.
4. The arrangement of essays in each selection aims to group them by their thematic focus, listing them in the order of legal articles or textbook chapters of respective legal departments, without considering the time of publication or the authors' names.
5. Each essay includes a brief introduction to the author's resume and major academic achievements below the title, and the text notes the source of the essay for further reference.
6. Except for the deceased authors or a very small number of authors who are difficult to contact, all essays have obtained authorization from the authors. Our press will pay royalties strictly in accordance with relevant regulations.
7. Due to the varying requirements of the original journals for essay footnotes, to respect the authors' writing style and maintain the original form of the articles, this series does not impose uniform standards for essay footnotes.
