Features: This textbook is developed in line with the overall objectives of the teaching content and curriculum reform for higher education in the 21st century. Based on the author's 30 years of teaching experience in higher mathematics for liberal arts majors, we have compiled this "Concise Textbook of University Liberal Arts Mathematics," which includes the main textbook "Solving Guide for University Liberal Arts Mathematics" in three volumes. This series of textbooks consists of three parts: Part "Calculus," Part "Linear Algebra," and Part "Probability and Statistics." Part "Calculus" is written in the first volume, while Part "Linear Algebra" and Part "Probability and Statistics" are in the second volume. This textbook is divided into five chapters, covering topics such as determinants, matrices, systems of linear equations, elementary probability theory, and the basics of mathematical statistics. Teaching all the above content can be arranged over two semesters, with 17 weeks per semester and 3 hours per week, totaling 102 hours. This series of textbooks can serve as the mathematics foundation course textbook for liberal arts majors in general universities, and the second volume can also be used as the main textbook for the "Linear Algebra and Probability and Statistics" course in the higher mathematics (Part II) self-study examination. It can also be selected by science and engineering majors with lower requirements for the "Linear Algebra and Probability and Statistics" course.
