Features: This book is based on a short story from Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, telling the story of a scholar who dreams of becoming a deity and goes to Laoshan Mountain to learn the Tao. After learning a little wall-passing technique, he plans to use it for theft, but ends up with many boils on his head. The art director of this film, Cheng Zhi, is a well-known veteran artist, no need for further introduction. Another Mr. Liu Yilong, a famous Kunqu Opera Wenchou (), guided the scholar in singing during the scenes where he escapes while chopping wood, singing "I flee to the heavens!" as he runs, and later, when he boasts to his wife, "Through the wall, I go through the wall, take it and run!" and other Kunqu Opera arias. The entire book is filled with humor, with one classic scene being the learning of wall-passing technique and Chang'e accompanying the scholar to admire the moon and drink wine. Using naive wooden puppets, the mythological story is vividly portrayed.
