Features: The transition from kindergarten to elementary school is a significant turning point in a child's life. Changes in daily routines and the increased academic workload can lead to many children experiencing fatigue, weight loss, and a fear of learning after entering primary school. Parents all hope their children can adapt to school life quickly and start their academic journey on a positive note. However, what preparations should be made before a child enters primary school? What specific actions should parents take? Are there any details that have been overlooked or not yet considered? These are undoubtedly the most pressing concerns for every parent. With these questions in mind, we came up with the idea of writing a series of books specifically for children who are about to enter primary school, to help them better navigate this stage and address more of the doubts and worries of parents.
To this end, we have organized experienced teachers from the frontline of education to systematically write this series of books, focusing on the common issues children face after entering primary school. The topics cover mental preparation, academic readiness, behavioral habit preparation, and material readiness, among others. The series is divided into four volumes: Mathematics, Chinese Language, Behavioral Habits, and Intelligence. As long as children persist in systematic learning, they will surely be able to embrace their primary school life in a better state.
This book is the Mathematics volume, which includes topics such as recognizing, composing, and decomposing numbers up to ten, recognizing numbers up to twenty, comparing the properties of objects (such as weight, size, length, height, and distance), classifying objects, understanding positions and sequences, recognizing plane and solid shapes, learning about clocks, and simple statistics. The questions are lively, engaging, and fun, while also emphasizing the connection between mathematics and real-life situations. This helps young children understand the close relationship between mathematics, nature, and human society, appreciate the value of mathematics, and inspire their desire to learn math.
