Features: The Chinese nation is one of the most passionate about collecting. Throughout history, there have been many renowned collectors. Since the reform and opening-up, a nationwide "collecting fever" has swept across China. However, collecting is an art in itself. Even seasoned collectors can sometimes fall victim to scams. Nowadays, the market is flooded with fake calligraphy, paintings, and antiques—not to mention that auctions often feature forgeries. This is undoubtedly a problem that plagues collectors. Based on this, we have compiled and published this series of "Baofojiao Books," divided into two subseries: "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Identification" and "Chinese Antique Identification." This series is designed to provide practical assistance. All the authors are not only experts in their fields but also "collectors" and "enthusiasts," with hands-on experience. They have all "found treasures" in their respective areas of expertise, and some of the works featured in the books are even their own collections.
The author of Identification of Shoushan Stone, Mr. Chen Shi, is the president of the Fujian Shoushan Stone Cultural and Art Research Association, a renowned expert in Shoushan stone appreciation, and an accomplished seal carver. He has written numerous works, including Shoushan Stone Illustrated Catalogue, Art of Shoushan Stone Carving, and Shoushan Stone Culture, among others. He is widely recognized as a leading authority on Shoushan stone research. This book can only be considered a small-scale effort by him, yet every word reflects his profound insights into the identification of Shoushan stone.
