Features: This book selects 100 well-known Tang poems, including those recommended by the Ministry of Education for memorization. It uses a relaxed and innovative format to provide detailed explanations and guidance, helping young readers better understand Tang poetry while also assisting parents in comprehensive tutoring. The book is divided into four parts:
1. Poems and Pinyin. We have annotated the original poems with pinyin. Due to varying interpretations of certain words in Tang poetry, we have chosen the most common understandings for annotation.
2. Poems Transformed into Prose. Instead of explaining Tang poetry through annotations, we rewrite the poems as prose, integrating the explanations within the narrative. This approach allows readers to understand the poems as a whole while also providing a reference for exercises and exams that often require rewriting Tang poems into prose.
3. Poetic Appreciation. Every poem’s strengths and how to appreciate it can be found here.
4. Poems and Stories. These may be stories about a particular poem, a poet, or general knowledge about poetry. In summary, reading these stories helps readers gain more background information and, in turn, better understand Tang poetry.
