Features: This book is a supplementary teaching material for "Geriatric Nursing." "Geriatric Nursing" is a clinical course in the nursing profession. Currently, China is experiencing an increasingly prominent aging population, making it even more important and practically significant to study geriatric nursing. The purpose of writing this book is to help nursing professionals better understand, master, and apply the content of this course in practical nursing work. The main textbook "Geriatric Nursing" consists of three chapters: Chapter 1: The Elderly Population, which introduces the biological, psychological, and sociodemographic characteristics of this group; Chapter 2: Geriatric Nursing, which explains the characteristics of nursing for the elderly; and Chapter 3: Nursing for Geriatric Diseases, which primarily covers common geriatric diseases. Learners should study in order to gradually delve deeper into the content. Each chapter is divided into several sections, with each section generally serving as a unit for guidance. In the section on geriatric diseases, each disease is typically treated as a unit. The guidance content is divided into three parts: Part 1: Key and Difficult Points, which summarizes ands the key points of each section or disease, and also explains the difficulties. However, the key and difficult points cannot replace the main textbook. They should be used after studying the main textbook to grasp the key concepts and reinforce the knowledge learned. Part 2: Test Questions, which includes six types of questions: A-type questions (only one answer is correct), X-type questions (2–5 answers are correct), fill-in-the-blank questions, definition questions, short-answer questions, and essay questions (or application questions). The test questions may include all six types or only a few of them. Part 3: Reference Answers for Test Questions.
