Features: Real-world contexts, a writer's academic and cultural attainments, social belonging, aesthetic tastes, and numerous other factors all constrain a writer's mode of expression. However, actively responding to the challenges of social life, demonstrating the significance of literature as an essential component of human spiritual pursuits in the real world—despite literature's increasing marginalization and reduced attention from outsiders—remains the consistent goal of dedicated novelists. A writer's aesthetic sensibilities, people's living conditions, and the significance of "for posterity" will become more apparent when we look back on history, highlighting the value of novelists. But as we have previously noted: the role of literature has always been limited. The essence of literature does not necessarily align with interpreting or elaborating on social life. The hidden aspects of society and life, the deeper mysteries of the universe, and the higher beauty of existence all require writers to express them with greater spiritual insight. Simple social concepts and vulgar everyday language cannot elevate us above the chaotic and disordered reality to introspect the existence of life, nor can they capture the fleeting meaning and realm of beauty amidst the fleeting glimmers of life.
