Features: "The NewGerman Intensive Course" (Revised Edition) consists of five volumes: Basic 1, Basic 2, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2, and Advanced. This book is the third volume, equivalent to the Intermediate Level II level specified in the "Outline for Intensive German Teaching for Overseas Students," and is suitable for learners who have completed the Basic German course (540 hours). This textbook takes into account the characteristics of short-term intensive training and corrects the traditional shortcomings of leaning too much on grammar while neglecting practicality in both language knowledge delivery and communicative competence training. In terms of material selection, the textbook considers the needs of learners' lives, studies, and social interactions abroad. The selected texts cover the three major communicative contexts—daily life, study, and social interaction—and include some passages introducing Chinese history and culture to foreign readers, enabling learners to develop certain bidirectional cross-cultural communication skills. The exercises in this book are designed to be diverse and balanced in difficulty, focusing on developing learners' ability to transition from sentence-level to text-level expression while cultivating the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Most of the exercise content is adapted to the themes, allowing for more review of relevant contexts and vocabulary, preparing learners for the transition to the second stage of Intermediate 2. All listening texts in this book are accompanied by corresponding audio cassettes.
